New Features
- New, completely redesigned user-interface - many features have been moved or renamed in-order to provide a more intuitive experience.
- Create and Convert modules are combined and now both available under the Convert module – old convert features are now available from the Export and Advanced sub-menus
- Review is renamed to Comment
- Secure and Sign is renamed to Secure
- Connect module is added to provide access to Evernote and SharePoint
- Insert module features were moved to the Edit module
- Expandable & collapsible menus are added to some ribbon menus in-order to not overwhelm users with too many visible features at any given time
- The order of features in their respective ribbon menus are updated to ensure the most used features are the most visible
- Many Edit and Comment features are now available via a dynamic toolbar that appears once an element is selected and provides easier access to related properties. SharePoint and Images also use the toolbar
- Compress & Split PDF are moved to the Convert Module
- E-Sign interface is completely revamped with streamlined options and a floating panel to quickly place signatures, initials, and forms onto page.
- Batch processes are now a module with a new full screen interface and improved workflows
- OCR module offers less options in order to simplify the workflow
- Options is moved from the File menu and is now access via the gear icon located near the account dropdown
- Help is no longer a module and now available from the Help icon located near the account drop-down menu
- Zoom and quick-access view features are combined into a drop-down tool available
- Quick Search is moved from the bottom of the screen to the top
- Search and Search Multiple are amalgamated under a single Search panel and renames its tabs to, Search Document and Search Folder respectively
- Attachments, Links, Comments, Signatures & Layers panels are grouped under the Extras Panel available under the Zoom tool
- All Panels now provide a + icon in-order to access its context menu options
- Add Action is removed form Bookmarks panel
- File menu now has less functions with Create, Convert, Options, Send and Batch features all moved to other locals
- Send by email is now available from the Quick Access menu on the upper top left of the screen
- Grid and Ruler features are moved to the View module.
- Add Action window available from Links is re-organized in-order to provide easier access to its most used functions
- Properties is completely re-designed to be more intuitive and now provides many more Edit features
- Activate/Upgrade buttons are replaced by a cart icon
- Account drop-down:
- My Products selection is renamed to Manage Products and no longer provides a pop-up in-order to switch products.
- Switch Product is no longer available and this function is now accessed via Manage Products
- Users may now add a Profile photo to the account drop-drown section for easy identification. If user is signed in via third-party authentication, it shall be pulled from that service if available.
- My Account :
- My Account and My Products have been streamlined
- If the active product is a paid product, My Payment tab appears in the My Account section, giving users visibility on the payment method’s details
- Status bar which provides feedback for most functions is now available at the bottom of the screen
- Modified documents can be opened directly from the status bar using OPEN
- Homescreen adds more default options for basic tasks such ‘Add Comments’ or ‘Protect your PDF’
- Page module has a new interactive graphical interface allowing users to preview all pages in a document at once. Document pages can be moved via drag and drop or selected in-order to facilitate page functions such as extract or replace.
- Sign Document is a new workflow in E-Sign enabling users to add their own signature or initials to a document without having to go through an email signing ceremony.
- Export now has a new engine offering significantly better results for exporting PDFs to Microsoft Office formats (PPT, XLS, DOC).
- Forms Panel is added to Extras Panel group, enabling users to see all available Forms in a single panel with the ability to edit properties and to group/regroup related Radio buttons.
- Save Optimized feature available from the file menu automatically saves a compressed version of your document using the second-highest compression selection.
- Batch Compress feature is added to the Batch module enabling users to reduce file size for multiple documents at once.
- Duplicate feature available in the dynamic toolbar facilitates the reuse of content.
- Duplicate copies and pastes the selected object onto the same page enabling users to re-create intricate objects with specific sizes, colors, and formatting.
- Auto-Updates allow users to keep the software updated without having to check for and install updates manually, if available. The program will automatically check for available updates, and if found, the updates will be downloaded and installed with no user intervention. Go to the Update in Options to see new features
- Paper Sizes A0, A1, A2, A3 & A7. Arch D are added to the paper size drop-down in Print option.
- Add-ins for Microsoft Office applications have been redesigned and redeveloped for Microsoft’s web-based Office Add-in platform
- Configure Quick Access & Configure Panels allows users to customize which tools are displayed in both the Quick Access and right-Panel areas.
- Form Tab Order option allows to reorder forms by dragging and dropping elements through the Forms section in the right panel.
- Send workflows for E-Sign no longer force saving of a modified PDF before sending
- 3 new keyboard shortcuts:
- Next page: Ctrl + Down Arrow OR Ctrl + Right Arrow Function: While a document is open the user can press Ctrl + Down Arrow OR Ctrl + Right Arrow in order to jump to the top of the next page of the document;
- Previous Page: Ctrl + Up Arrow OR Ctrl + Left Arrow Function: While a document is open the user my press Ctrl + Up Arrow OR Ctrl + Left Arrow in order to jump to the top of the next page of the document;
- Cycle through open documents: Ctrl + tab Function: If the user has multiple documents open, they can cycle through them by pressing Ctrl + tab. They cycle though the open documents one at a time in an A - B - C - A - B - C order.
Resolved Issues (Major)
- Do you want to save change” message is hidden and blocked the program if the it is half-hidden behind the screen
- Inline message with error is shown when moving annotation in the signed document
- Impossible to use "Verify Signature, View Signed Version, Certificate Details" features without an active product with Secure module included.
- Some annotations and forms appear cropped/invisible after the copy-paste
- "User account control" pop-up does not appear when you call the installer and does not allow to update the application.
- Radio Buttons names are synchronized while changing the name of any button
- Impossible to put a digital signature on a document if another one was added before
- Digital Signatures displays with background.
- Changes are lost in one of opened in SDI mode documents when you switch to MDI mode and try to cancel closing
- App crashes when you cancel movement of grouped objects
- A few selected documents are not printed properly from the shell context menu
- The app crashes when you switch between tabs in the right-side panel
- Impossible to fill in the text forms in different browsers. A text is invisible while typing
- Line in a text block is shifted after using of Superscript/Subscript
- Text block with subscript/superscript is displayed incorrect after 'Character Spacing' feature is applied.
