We just released the new 3.3.7 of PDFsam Basic. We upgraded PDF Engine and translations as usual and we fixed the MSI installer to properly handle command line properties on Windows systems where only .NET 4 or above is installed.
We released the new PDFsam Basic version 3.2.5 where you will have a reduced startup time, some new MSI property to drive the corresponding application setting during silent install, updated SAMBox and Sejda (our PDF layer) with a number of fixes, premium modules in the modules dashboard.
Among the other things in this version we fixed an issue preventing PDFsam to start on Mac, an issue with the page selection in the selection table, we added a new and less intrusive news panel and we added the Windows MSI package. The Mac DMG package coming soon!
You can download it here
I had some user reporting an error during the installation process on Windows, something like “This installation package could not be opened bla bla”, it should be fixed now, please let me know if you still experience it.
Hi Mac users,
some of you reported the “PDFsam is damaged and can’t be opened” error when trying to install the PDF Split And Merge dmg package.
After some investigation and users feedback I can finally write what is causing that. The issue is caused by a new feature of Mountain Lion and OS X Lion v10.7.5, called Gatekeeper which “help protect your Mac from malware and misbehaving apps downloaded from the Internet”. It does that by preventing you from launching apps that are not downloaded from the Mac App Store which is “The safest and most reliable place to download and install apps”. Now, assuming you still want to install PDF Split And Merge even if you didn’t download it from the “safest and most reliable place”, what can you do? You have to:
- Open Gatekeeper settings located in “System Preferences > Security & Privacy”
- Set “Allow applications downloaded from:” to “Anywhere” and confirm by pressing “Allow From Anywhere”
- Launch Pdf Split And Merge
- Once PDF Split And Merge is successfully launched, you can set back Gatekeeper option to whatever you want

I just uploaded the Windows MSI installers (32 and 64 bits) for the enhanced version. The installers allow silent and Active Directory installation. Currently only the PDFsam enhanced version has been ported to MSI installer but with the next release (in about a month) PDFsam basic will have it too. Please report if you find any bug.
sorry for the late update but I finally added the MacOS dmg version of pdfsam 2.2.1 (basic and enhanced).
finally I uploaded the new dmg archives for the 2.2.0 and 2.2.0e versions of PDFsam. You can find the link in the download section for the basic version and in the enhanced forums for the enhanced version.
I just released the Mac OS X dmg archives version 2.1.0 and 2.1.0e.
I uploaded the dmg archives for both, basic and enhanced version.
