We just released the version 4.1.4 of PDFsam Basic. In this release we upgraded the bundled JDK to the latest Adopt OpenJDK 11.0.8, we have updated Sejda to its latest version with few bug fixes. We also updated the translations and fixed few bugs.

We just released the new version 2.1.7 of PDFsam Visual. We fixed a couple of bugs related to the Open Folder button that wasn’t always working as expected. It also now always open the Explorer window in foreground.

Hi,
we just released the new PDFsam Visual. In this version we updated the PDF engine with few bug fixes and improvements, we fixed an issue in Merge and Alternate Mix with encrypted files, we added a new checkbox to the Extract Pages to let the task generate separate files for each selected page set. We also finally notarized the MacOS .dmg so that Catalina doesn’t scare the users away anymore.

The new release 2.1.1 of PDFsam Visual is out.

• We upgraded all the underlying components (PDF engine, Electron, PDF rendering engine..)
• We fixed few bugs and improved some error/feedback message
• We added an option to automatically populate the output folder with the parent directory of the selected PDF file
• We added a context menu to most of the tools, to allow the user to quickly set the output field same as one of the input files
• The Merge module can now combine PDF files and images

We updated the bundled jdk to the latest version 11.0.5, updated translations and fixed an issue some users where getting when launching PDFsam on Windows:

Hi,
we had few requests for a 32-bit version of PDFsam Visual and after a bit of work we managed to provide one.
We also upgraded the underlying PDF engine, fixed an issue with UNC paths on Windows, fixed an issue related to batch text extraction, here the complete changelog.

We just released the new version 4.0.3 of PDFsam Basic. You can now load a list of PDF files from a csv/text file, we added a [TOTAL_FILESNUMBER] placeholder, a Clear button to the Split modules to clear settings, we upgraded the PDF engine, translations and bundled OpenJDK and we added a setting to disable default PDF compression.

Since the release of PDFsam Basic 4 we had some support requests regarding the application being unusable and starting with a white screen on Windows.

After some investigation we found some tickets on the openjdk bug tracker here, here and few others, we tested the proposed workaround and it seems to have fixed the issue for those users experiencing the white screen.
